![]() It really nails the gameplay loop-managing your squads and then quickly deploying them in battle gives it super satisfying pacing, quite unlike anything else out there (since Ogre Battle has, regrettably, not returned yet!). ![]() It's lovely to see a game like Ogre Battle again. I bought it the other day and have been enjoying it quite a bit. You can get items that give you 500 CP each at the arena and from treasureĪnd also, make sure to hold on to at least like, 12,000g at the start of every map so you have enough money to buy a legendary item if they pop at a bazaar in the level. If you meet the stat requirements for a class upgrade but you can't change into it, your character probably hasn't maxed out their class's Class Points yet.The actual stats for each affinity are a bit hodgepodge, but I would say that the most important is that Water is for anyone you want doing magic. Affinities matter, but you can change them with items and you retroactively get all of the relevant/appropriate stats. These low level recruits level up plenty fast You can always reload and try again if you drop too much. It's definitely worth it to keep recruiting until one with a good stat line pops up. The first 4 generic recruits at the marketplace are the base classes - they only cost about ~125g to recruit, and a new one gets rolled every time you recruit from that slot. Some quick tip to anyone struggling with upgrading units: ![]() This kind of army management is my drug of choice. Okay yeah, I just lost like 6 hours to this.
